I had problems getting Anjuta installed on my Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. Synaptic tried to install a version with 3 broken dependencies, but forcing the version to 2:2.2.0-1ubuntu2 did the trick:
sudo apt-get install anjuta=2:2.2.0-1ubuntu2 anjuta-common=2:2.2.0-1ubuntu2
